Let us develop rural literacy:

The economy fabric of India is an unpleasant work where the dissimilarities like wealth & penury, hunger and lavish, scholarly and illiterate, joy and sorrow and several such divergent things are so obvious to us.

National resource sharing, development benefits, technology benefits, investment benefits are not equally enjoyed by all even after the country passed through 10 five year plans.

We still find the national literacy level at 65.38 (Census:2001) the poverty level at 29%. The root cause for the dissimilar development is illiteracy, especially at primary levels. The inhabitants in slums, downtrodden areas are not still able to realize the importance of education. They rather prefer their children earn money out of errands in road side restaurants or elsewhere.

Poverty lures them towards small time earnings overlooking the long term deprivements. Primarily, it is illiteracy which is not allowing them to see the dreaded tomorrow owing to their today's ignorance.

It is imperative to raise the level of awareness in the adults about the
benefits of education to them and to their children. The programme intends to visit chosen slum areas and hutments in twin cities with a small group of such people who drive the need of literacy among children
